I show my sculptures in architectural and historic sites in Italian cities of arts, exploring the intersection of the timeless with our time.
My pencil drawings are contemplative still-life. I portray abandoned objects: empty boxes, cartons, mechanical pieces, engine parts and cardboard silhouettes are depicted in
symbolic and metaphysical compositions.
Artists are idea-makers and, subsequently, activists through sharing.
My exhibition 'Relics' displays a selection of recent artworks, many on view for the first time and some of them site specific, alongside the Museum of St
Secondiano the Martyr Cathedral permanent collection in Chiusi (Siena).
Boxes, used packaging and metal waste, finds from everyday life, take part in a universal narrative, and, like relics, reveal their meaning only through the contemplation of the
observer.
The exhibition is open to the public until 9 July 2023.
